Labrinth

Since the age of 13 Labrinth has been producing, when he was 18 he got signed by Syco.
When he teamed up with Tinie Tempah to make two of the biggest club tunes of 2010; "Pass Out and Frisky" his phone has been off the hook.
His single "Sunshine" did not reach the heights that many of us expected, maybe because it was dropped in August - when Summer is pritty much up in the UK, however he has been back in the studio with Tinie Tempah, Devlin and even the Black Eyed Peas!
Watch out of Labrinth in 2011 and lets hope he drops tracks at the right time this year!

Usher - You Got It Bad

Usher finished his UK tour last night at the 02 Arena and it was impressive!

He seduced Alesha Dixon on stage whilst singing "Trading Places", he also went back to his first albums and sang "Nice n Slow", "You Make me Wanna", "Pop Ya Collar", "You Remind Me", etc.. But for some unknown reason he did NOT sing "You Got it Bad" which upset a lot of fans by the looks of it.

Therefore I thought I would post the song to make everyone happy.

Apart from that Usher as usual amazed everyone with his performance skills, not many people can dance and sing the way he does therefore he deserves his props!

Check out some of tracks below!

Cole Vs Diddy - Im Coming Home

Who went home better?

Diddy has the rep but Cole has the lyrics and personally Cole wins the battle on a musical level. I still think if J kept this and put another verse in it, he could have increased his current reputation.

J. Cole did write the song according to many sources and Diddy bought it off him; either way Skylar Grey is getting more and more known, and Diddy doesn't stop supporting his Diddy Dirty Money; check the video if you have not already seen it.

Diddy feat Rick Ross - Private Entertainer

Diddys album is off the hook! He is one of the best producers of our era so I guess I didnt expect anything else.
Check out the album and theres a lot of club hits on it!

J. Cole and Drake - In the Morning (Official Video)

J.Cole and Drake filmed this whilst they were in Paris on the Thank Me Later tour.
2010 was definitely Drizzys year, but ever since I heard Cole in early 2009 I knew he had something about him, and clearly he does. A lot of artists have something about them at the beginning, but to continue and become a global star is the real challenge and i feel 2011 will be J. Coles year.
When "Cole World" (if thats going to be the name of the album) drops I hope other MCs are careful and don't even think about releasing their album around that time.
However I look forward to what he has to offer on the Club scene, because even though Drizzy has the hits he never provided us with a Cudi - Day and Night or a Lil Wayne - Lollipop.
Cole has already done a few club remixes and featuring in Rihanna's: S&M is a good look.
Good luck to Cole and watch out for this man.

Cloud9 Hooks Up With Spree..

Jive Records new signee - Spree Wilson caught up with Lewis last week and discussed plans, life experiences and what is motivating him right now. Spree’s latest record ‘Don’t Pass Me By’  was produced and features the amazing Esthero. We shared this with you when it was hot on the scene but in case you missed that piece why not check it out now: http://soundcloud.com/spreewilson/dont-pass-me-by-ft-esthero

Right now, who do you look up to in the music industry and why?

Most of the folks I look up too are folks I grew up listening to like The Beatles, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Outkast, etc...I admire many of the musicians of today like Kanye West, Brit Daniel of Spoon, Radiohead to name a few. The major reason why I admire them has a lot to do with their fearlessness when it comes to art. Taking chances musically goes a long way with me, so it's great to see that there are still people who are fearless out there.

What is your biggest motivation for becoming who you are today?

My biggest motivation is truthfully myself. I want to push myself to the limit musically in the same way
Hendrix, Zappa and Outkast were able to do. As long as I'm still doing that, I'll always be motivated    to continue doing music.

In 2011 what do you realistically hope to achieve?

I hope that I'm able to continue to build on a musical foundation that sustains itself for the long haul.
Most artists are so eager to get the instant gratification that they forget that the journey to success is one of the best journey's any artist can take. The lessons your learn about who you are as an artist and who you have the potential to be are priceless.
